When in Doubt, Blog!

Most businesses have websites. No doubt.  Not all of them, however, have blogs.  A number of studies continue to point to the value of a blog for customer retention and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Sales.

Google dislikes stagnant websites.  Change is good.  This doesn’t mean having to rewrite your whole website when you want Google to come around again.  It’s more about providing Google some new content on a regular basis to help make it happy.

Hubspot ran a study and published some interesting results:  companies with blogs have 55% more visitors, 97% more inbound links and 434% more indexed pages.

PayPal Redirect Exploitation in Apple ID Phishing Attack

PayPal Redirect Exploitation in Apple ID Phishing Attack

Our continual vigilance is required to double-check all of our transactions with our favorite internet vendors.

There is a new exploit going around that attempts to steal your Apple ID credentials.  The email states, “If you did not order the above products and suspect your account has been hijacked kindly visit the link below.” The displayed link will look like www.order.itunes.com/verify/cancel but will not take you to a matching URL.

As always we encourage people to LOOK CAREFULLY at the directed URL in the top of their browser, as in this case, it’s clear that this is bogus as the domain name you land on is: paypal-communications.com.

Just close and go away!

More information about this can be found here: http://news.netcraft.com/archives/2014/05/21/paypal-redirect-exploited-in-apple-id-phishing-attack.html
