We found the application that exposes your travels on your iPhone or iPad.  After launching this little baby, I could easily see where my iPad was used.

While we do understand the questions behind this, we also recognize that Apple has to have some way of telling where devices are for their "locate my whatever" utilities.  Keeping a database of it... that's the primary question.
